I tracked down that reuters story. Looks like things are definitely in the wind. For those who haven't seen the story, the jist is that AAM has hired DLJ as a merger advisor and has talked to several possible acquirers. Analysts estimate AAM could attract offers as high as $30 a share. Speculation is that the delay in reporting earnings might be to announce a deal. -Shane
