Hi everybody. I've been lurking in the darkness reading the LOR board for over a year and this one for the last few months. However, I just signed up for SI so now I'm legal to post.

Larry, I don't have the specifics on the GSTRF launch dates. They were posted on the LOR Motley Fool board on AOL a couple of weeks ago, but I looked last night and could not find them.

But here's the story. It is my understanding that as part of its GSTRF deal with China Ministry of Posts, LOR - not GSTRF - committed to a certain number of Long March launches, but using the SS/L mission control center. Those launches were initially designated as GSTRF launches, but they have since been reallocated to launch other SS/L birds. The GSTRF five satellite launches are on Deltas, and the 12 satellite launches are on Zenits out of the Ukraine. You may remember that the Soviets knew a thing or two about launch vehicles. I remember reading that there may be some SS/L launches using Sea Launch, but I don't think any of the GSTRF launches are on that vehicle.
