In is ironic to see Condi Rice come on TV and express excitement at the hope that the UN resolution on Iraq passes. This is in sharp contrast to the Bush Administration's demeanor before going into Iraq. They thumbed their noses at the UN, Bush was very confident that the operations would be smooth. that they would get the WMD, that US knew what they were doing and the other countries in the world did not matter and that the UN was a bunch of corrupt folks.

Then things started to happen for the Bush Administration. The very scandal and corruption that the US accused the other countries of in the oil for food program spread not to just US companies but it involved the VP and his relations with Halliburton. What a defeat for Bush.

Today Bush is on his knees begging the UN to pass the Iraqi resolution. He is about ready "to cut and run" from Iraq and hand it over to the UN.
