It's certainly "scientific" to say that we all can have very different personalities, but I doubt that our personalities make us believe or disbelieve, but rather affects the way that we believe. I would not say that we "get" our religion based on our personalities, but that we "express" our religion based on our personalities. To give two extremes, one person may prefer to be contemplative and pray, while another may express her religion by feeding the poor, or helping rehabilitate old houses.
