A close friend works there. Nonetheless, I never thought that Fuzeon would get to the approval stage. Tooting horn, I rarely miss.... if I call a project a loser, it rarely succeeds. Of course, the same is true for those that I call winners. :-) In the BVF thread for the day of FDA approval??.... I believe that I said at the time that I was surprised that the project had hit success. When I think about it now? I felt that the project would fail due to patient inconvenience, the expense of production, and cost of maintaining such a biologically cumbersome barrier. So, a lesson.... one can be wrong before being correct, even with FDA doing its job (well!) in-between.
