I wasn't correcting your grammar. I thought you had made a play on words, and I was disagreeing with the substance of what I took to be the intention of your pun.

Turns out that you did not intend a play on words at all, it was a simple mis-spelling.

Thus, I erred by misinterpreting what you said. In other words, I gave you too much credit by assuming you had a sense of humor. If I had known it was a simple misspelling, I would have ignored it, as I usually do.
