As I said before different people made all sorts of different statements about the domino theory or about what might happen if we did or didn't fight in Vietnam. Even if Eisenhower or LBJ did make statements like "if we did not stop communism in Vietnam, eventually all of Asia would be communistic." (and I don't think they made such a statement) it wouldn't change my point.

I said the most mild versions of the domino theory where true. That is correct.

LBJ and Eisenhower didn't to my knowledge make statements supporting the most extreme and ridiculous versions of the domino theory but they probably did support versions that turned out to be worse then what actually happened. Other people supported the extreme versions of the theory. None of which changes the fact that the most mild versions of the theory where true, some less mild versions where reasonable even if they didn't prove to be correct, still less mild versions where totally false, and the most extreme versions were so obviously false even without the benefit of hindsight that they could rightfully be called ridiculous.

Even if I'm wrong and LBJ or Eisenhower did support the ridiculous versions, it still doesn't mean the theory was universally false.

Edit -

Apparently Eisenhower's version was that "Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia and Indonesia" would fall in to communism. It turns out that that version was false or at bets only partially true, but it also isn't the same as saying that all of Asia would become communist.
