I think there is a small market for skunk pelts, although I'm not sure it is worth the trouble. However, I may change my mind if Kerry gets elected.

It was popular 60 years ago to have an island in Alaska devoted to fox farming. Mink farms are still in existence, if I'm not mistaken. I personally prefer the idea of wild trapping, since at least the critter has a sporting chance to escape.

There are two kinds of otters that I'm aware of. Sea otters were nearly wiped out a hundred fifty years ago but have recovered. River otters thrive. Both have very fine fur. I've seen both kinds, but never trapped them. They are very endearing so I don't blame you for your favoritism.
