Clinton keeps showing up in the discussion of Bush

Hi Orca, I use him as a "counter reference point" only. I agree with your answers and to your point regarding past conduct. But would'nt you agree that when you look at what is discussed in "the media", the peripheral issues recieve an inordinate amount of attention? I think the quality of governance at ALL levels would improve greatly if that attention was diverted from the herrings onto the meat of the issues. The public seems to either have a greater appetite for herring or that's about all they can digest.....

On Iraq, it's not just the influence of American corporations that lead to the decision to go in. It's the foreign interest that lost money because we did as well. Our "allies" did'nt want to upset the goose. It's one big moneyfuck. But, getting back to Bush, I am troubled by the way those interests have plundered the situation. I would have no problem apying contractors going in and building infrastructure AND paying them well. It is a dangerous job but there is wholesale ripping off going on and Bush should send a loud signal down the chain to knock it off or else. BUt of course, these are the same interests that brought him to where he is in the first place......

More on the rest later. I have a pier to go swim around..
