The US is no longer guided by principles -- the US is now a society where expedience guides our actions. When the means used are justified by the ends being pursued there is no longer any moral authority to our leadership. This is why we torture our prisoners. We are morally adrift. The US has lost its way. The President can no longer provide leadership within the US or to the rest of the world.
