1. How has Bush's failure to get bin Laden made us safer? He and his organization are responsible for 90% of the worldwide terrorist attacks. His and his organizations survival, pushing 3 years after 9/11, is the reason we still have a very significant, and growing, terrorist threat. It's a huge Bush failure; al Qaeda is winning the "war on terror", even after the horror of 9/11.
The bigger question is why didn't Clinton get him instead of refusing several attempts to have him "handed over"? But "getting bin Laden" is something that will take time. It is not a "Bush failure". Hell, our military is doing everything they can to find him. They simply haven't been able to do so. Do you want to blame our military?
The death of bin Laden, TOMORROW, would not change the war on terror one iota.
2. How has the war in Iraq reduced the threat of terror in the US, as you claim. Be specific, please.
I haven't made this claim. The war in Iraq WILL EVENTUALLY make us safer in the United States. The war on terror, which includes dramatic changes in security -- from airports and railroads to nuclear reactors and seaport inspections. Is is perfect? No, but it is one hell of a lot improved over the national security disaster Bush inherited from his predecessor.
And some advice. Cut the liberal, leftest insult bull crap. It doesn't hurt me and it makes you look like a idiot.
I simply see liberals as persons of lesser intellect. A few are smart but confused. Most just don't have the analytical skills to think clearly about these subjects (those liberals on this thread pretty much fit into this category).
This is not a "leftist insult". It is just my opinion. I view liberals as the root cause of many of America's problems.
I *AM* still entitled to have my opinion, right? Or is it just you and Barbra who get to have opinions??? |
