Good leaders are rarely ever close as people would like them.

Their perspective is different from the majority----they are thinkers, sometimes do'ers, and most often people who inspire others to think, to reach conclusions, and to act after thoughtful consideration.

This I believe describes Reagan. Those who were in his cabinet in California and throughout his Presidency always cite his ability to lead while listening to each person and bringing the group to a decision honored by all.
