Mike, I don't think every auto insurer is doing it yet, but mine (Pemco) started about a year ago, and my father-in-law's started a few months before. His rate went up, and they told him his credit score (a different one that published on your credit report) was lower than it could have been because of paying off his bill each month. My rate went up, too, and the vague statement on my renewal said that the number of cards was a factor (I've got 4-5 that I never use). Glad to know I'm paying for people to figure out how to divide and conquer...
