I stopped watching in 1973

I'm not really an NBA fan. I don't have a loyalty to any team nor do I watch games much during the regular season. What I am is a University of Arizona basketball fan. I came by that indirectly. My father retired to Tucson a few years before Lute Olson's arrival so we follow the team together. When I watch the NBA, I tend to cheer for the Arizona players, one of whom, Luke Walton, had a very nice game last night, quite unexpectedly for a rookie bench warmer. My favorites have been Steve Kerr and Sean Elliott, two really classy guys. Virtually all the Arizona players in the NBA are solid citizens, nothing like you describe. The bad boyz may get a lot of headlines but that's not all there is to it. Any respectable conservative can comfortably root for the Spurs, a superb team that would also make grandma proud.
