Are you not discomfited by our continued use of race as a proxy for disadvantaged in designing assistance programs? There are implications to that and they at least border on the racist, no?

I'm not certain just what you mean. I typed in some message to someone that my own view is that economics and racial discrimination both play a role in which they are so tangled it's hard to separate them.

So I don't see racial discrimination as a straighforward proxy, just one of the factors. Does it seem to you that racial discrimination is completely a thing of the past?
