chap, It uses the EMP chip(Ericsson, not Sony-Ericsson). I've seen no reports of handoff problems in either regular voice or video calls, in fact, I've heard users say voice performance exceeds that of GSM networks in the UK, though coverage is not yet at that level. Even the most critical "3" bashers praise it, kinda like when I start singing the praises of a new Nokia CDMA phone. Slacker follows and participates in the same threads I do, maybe he can chime in.
