It was Reagan who planted the seeds of our current troubles.

Reagan was just the first sock-puppet president ... at least in our lifetime. It was the same group of neocons who were the cause of our trouble then as it is now. Kristol and Negroponte and Ollie North and Poindexter were all playing the same games with Iran and Nicaragua that they are today. They screwed up then, and they screwed up even bigger now. Even the deficit is on steriods.
