Intel mulling chip plant in China, says report Silicon Strategies 06/09/2004, 9:00 PM ET SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Intel Corp. is reportedly mulling a plan to build a "chipmaking plant" in China with funding from the government in that nation, according to CBS MarketWatch Web site. Intel may invest $6 billion in China and create 7,000 jobs, according to the report.
