After all your protestations to the contrary you sort of made an anti-reagan comment yesterday but someone caught you on it.

I'm sticking to my "no serious analysis of Reagan this week" guns. As I recall the comment you are talking about was in the context of the Bush lawyers arguing that the president was above the law. I referred to both Watergate and Iran Contra. That's not, in any sense, an analysis of Reagan's presidency. Different topic.

As for whether Bush's polling numbers get a pop from the Reagan stuff, I don't really have an opinion. It's certainly clear that the Bush people are hyping it for all its worth. And then some. I wouldn't be surprised if they over do it. It's their mantra.

I don't plan to "move in for a kill" on Reagan. Most likely won't do anything since we'll all be moving on to other topics of which there are more than enough. But I will feel free to do some analysis, should the opportunity offer itself.

In case you are interested, however, here's a serious Reagan piece by Sid Blumenthal. Don't tell anyone I snuck it to you. Drudge is advertising it.
