"Maybe you can show me who took responsibility for the prison abuse"

Well the army reported it and was investigating it far before the pitures were released. My feeling is that those at fault should pay the price. I don't believe Bush or Ashcroft ordered it, and also don't believe that a good person should "take the sword" so to speak for the sake of political correctness. I personally think the dem leadership will do whatever they can to tarnish the Bush administration (and Bush himself) with whatever they can. They are playing politics with this issue imo.

"Maybe you can tell me who took responsibility for trusting the intelligence that led us into the war in Iraq"

I think the intelligence available at the time lead us to CORRECTLY remove Saddam from power. I think those within the political structure that attack our President and call him a liar (or even imply it) should step aside or be removed by the electorate. Argue why they think it better to keep Saddam in instead of attacking the President during a time of war for attempted political gain. That would take some principals, and unfortunately many dem leaders have none. See Ted Kennedy for example. Or even Kerry, who voted for war, but has muddied his position (if not changed it) for you guessed it, political gain.

"Maybe you can tell me who took responsibility for the lack of follow up on warnings prior to 911"

I don't blame people for not being able to read the future. Who do you think should "take resonsibility" for 9-11? I thing OBL is to blame. Taking him out earlier would have been good, but the will was not there, and it did not happen. I see that when 9-11 panel looks bad, it is to score political points. Bob Kerry was the worst, but others bad also. The unpleasant lawerly fellow whos name escapes me was nearly as bad.

"On another point, maybe you can show me an example of how the author is incorrect in her assessment that Ashcroft doesn't listen"

I have stated my opinion on the article overall and posted in its entirety for others to judge. I retracted the hate piece comment, but stand by it's negative slant. Re-read the earlier post on some of the points that bother me.

I note that you can throw up a few questions (mostly meaningless imo), but could not post any "bending of the law" or "lack of integrity", which yu stated as reasons for your dislike of Ashcroft.
