Thanks Walter for that in-depth response, I will check out the previous post you referenced. My feeling is that ANY same-store sales growth is a good sign, especially with the olympics last year. A lot of fast growers (Outback Steakhouse for example) start to experience declining same-store sales at some point - I don't necessarily think that's horrible if their expansion far outweighs a slight decline, and (as in the case of Outback) the stores were absolutely jam-packed. So I think the same-store sales story is fine, I'm most worried about (1) the management biting off more than they can chew, (2) the restatement of earnings (which often suggests to me a less-than-100%-honest management), and (3) their 180-degree turn on mall-based stores. Does anybody know what prior experience the management team has, and if they have brought any new guys in (preferably industry vets) as they are expanding?
