Wow, 4X's increase in spending

RE: "With government under the control of a "conservative" for 16 of the last 24 years, shouldn't we have a smaller government by now? We certainly would if Republicans really believed in smaller government."

Maybe the Republican Party should align its platform promises to what it actually does: "we promise to increase spending and grow the deficit."
