If I had known then what we know now, I might not have supported the war against Iraq. No real way to know, we never got the chance to debate the matter as you are framing it now.

As I recall, I was opposed to it until the WMD argument was made. And that was the major thrust of the arguments in favor of the war, that Saddam had WMD and could not be trusted not to pass them on to terrorists.

I trusted the information coming from the NYTimes and the WashPost precisely because they are usually liberal, so assumed they would aggressively check the facts.
