I hope when I'm dead and gone people will try and remember my strengths, not harp on my weaknesses

remember my kindnesses, not my cruelties

I hope for every kind word said about me, someone doesn't feel the need to say an unkind word about me, to 'keep the record straight' - to remind people I was not perfect

for for we all are human, we all make mistakes - we none are perfect

few if any claim to have led faultless lives

I don't expect to viewed with rose color glasses, yet I would hope I'm not ripped to pieces for the mistakes I have made, errors that I can no longer defend

at the very least, I would hope the vicious could wait till I'm buried in the ground

and give me and my family a few days of grace
