David, I have known about Interdigital from the time they were IMM. One word of caution about this company. They have a history of filing patents and then file court cases claiming patent infringement. I fought back in 1992 to deploy one of there systems on a project that I was involved with. So I'm not knocking them as a company, per se. This B-CDMA is a hoax. What is the difference between their B-CDMA and CDMA? These are maudlin arguements that are similar to GSM and TDMA. GSM is TDMA, not some brand new discovery. B-CDMA is 32 Kb/s ADPCM (both TDMA and CDMA) or higher. What is new about that? It's been around in M/W, Satellite and fiber optics for along time. The only revolution is the shifting from fixed base terrestrial to mobile. Interdigital will drag people into court in hopes of a quick out of court settlement. Some do and with Motorola, some don't.
