Poole's Comments Come Close to Erasing the Baby Steps

...tone of the Fed language about the coming hikes. Seen in this light, the effort to raise rates without triggering deflation is way too delicate an operation to endure such remarks. The rising dollar overnight, as I have written before, is the Deflation Monster rearing its head.

The Fed has made their job nearly impossible, going forward. But when people like Poole start freelancing it seals the ill-fated Fed Adventure.

It's instructive to remember that Japan fought a strong currency throughout their ten year deflationary debacle.
