There's a very interesting article in the current American Spectator. I mention it because few here are likely to read the magazine. It's quality has been highly variable in the past.

Anyway, the article I recommend explores the demographic effects on elections of legalized abortion. Seems Democrats and liberals are more likely than Republicans and conservatives to have abortions (about 30% more likely). And since political allegiance tends to run in families, over decades that can have a significant impact on elections. In fact, I'm convinced it has had an impact already - in Florida in 2000. And the impact will grow as time passes.
