I thought the Greek Orthodox church did, too. I don't know how widespread in Europe the practice is or was. My family is from Eastern Europe and they were all "lefties."

I'm surprised anyone noticed and, if so, bothered to mention it.

EDIT: I didn't see the whole service. Some friends who got a free day off Friday invited me to lunch and I didn't realize when I accepted that there would be a conflict. I tuned out right after Thatcher spoke. I watched the early doings and found myself getting annoyed at the anchors who were all yacking when I wanted to hear the music. I found the proceedings themselves moving and very well put together.

The friends work in the Ronald Reagan Building and were able to see the casket go by. Very impressive, I'm told.
