An interesting final qualifying session for the Canadian GP...

Most relevant was last sector recovery by Ralf Schumacher edging what would have been Jenson's second pole of the year.

Takuma's early error on the hairpin, with a slight lock-up wheel lost him precious time, which attempted to regain in a kamikazee super late braking move into the chicane that sent him on a spin and added about 4.something seconds to his lap time (he probably would have ended second or third). Instead, his eagerness placed him on 17th place...

Another race thrown away ? one has to wonder...

Takuma, with his lightening reflexes and all has got to tone it down a notch to start getting the results...

To his credit.... that spin in the chicane allowed us all to see why Takuma Sato is such a fast driver with absolutely incredible reflexes...

Worth mentioning is that he missed the wall in that chicane exit by no more than .001ths of an inch.... -g did a perfect 360 degree turn and kept on going as if nothing happened.... reminiscent of a similar feat (at even higher speed) in 2002 during practice for the Japanese GP...

Great show but... such feats do not win grand prix's or points in the driver's championship... As much as I admire his skill and reflexes, it is time for Takuma to take a step back and really put it all together... he most definitively has what it takes not only to win GP's but even become a champion... but he has to settle down, a little more strategy will serve him well at this point....

Jenson Button looked impressive by beating Michael Schumacher by better than one second... that is an eternity at these levels and I must think that both Ferraris are starting with a heavier fuel load, or else Ferrari is having serious problems with braking...

The start tomorrow will be very interesting to see how they manage that first corner.... Alonso and Trulli with masterful starting capabilities could very well get in the way of Ralf and Jenson... not to mention the possibility of a messy first corner... as shown in this map track...
