frank, i actually agree. some maybe but not all. ntop has to upshift to larger msos if that is going to be possible and we get to see it, then work down the food chain, but only where it pays. somebody at ntop still has to explain winstar to us; there were no questions about it during the conference call. i am sort of throwing my hat in the corner where ntop is saving winstar for jonas, giving winstar a future. but then ntop is forking over its shares quarterly for the privilege. that's messed up; we need a charter type announcement at some point and more activity with liberty media (now) international. the latter i expect the former -- i'm waiting to see -- if charter throws its hat in the ntop corner. charter is going to throw its hat in the PacketCable corner in some way probably rather than SIP it, thru a vendor relationship, as well as do voIP on its switched circuit platform locations. so we have to see. Charter is feeling a strong competitive bite from satellite in some locations.

itxc has now dispersed its way into Teleglobe, ... and that may or may not be a dim lite -- have to see. wholesale voip is hard. they may just be able to run the business and that's it. there wasn't an itxc scale improvement, or some offsetting gain to itxc shareholders. not yet.
