I still don't understand exactly what happened to you and where you are coming from. Nothing "happened" to me. From the time I was old enough to contemplate right and wrong I knew that prejudice was not healthy for our society (aka "wrong") regardless of the target, including looking down on individuals based on anything other than their individual lack of merit, disparaging whole groups of people without cause, and bullying minorities, and that ignoring may be the cruelest tool in the disparagement toolbox. All my life I have stood up against this practice even when it was unpopular--especially when it was unpopular--because it is important that people stand up and challenge cultural disfunction and its perpetrators. There's nothing more to understand. If you ever want to discuss the substance of prejudice against non-believers in our society, let me know. If your intent is to find out what "happened" to me, give me a heads up so I can lie down on a couch as I type.
