Richard is right about the X-ray structure Marty, which is why I said I thought they were not going to do any computer modeling- which would only be possible after the crystal structure was solved- which it ain't.

To be honest, even if it is- which will get somebody a science paper i think, i'm not sure it will be that valuable. Most of the modeling that I have seen being useful has been done with DNA-interacting drugs.

This leaves them again at square one- run a ton of mind-less screens & hope for the best. Narrow it down some by using RT inhibitors or whatever anti-polymerase specific group of compounds- but its a shot in the dark anyway.

By the way I will add this- there is another company that has many anti-telomerase leads (as does GERN probably), and a second company that is capable & is considering what the phase I anti-telomerase trials will look like, and these events are less than "years" away.
