There was no law that authorized it, and that is why the US SC HAD TO STOP the FL SC. All legal reasons under FL SC were slugged out in lower courts (remenber David Boise?) and were REJECTED. The FL SC threw out all rulings WITHOUT REVIEW.

Would your opinion change if there was no legal reason to do the hand picked recount? My guess is that it would not matter to you. But maybe there is hope.
