What was Boise arguing in court? And why was he arguing it if state law allowed for Gores hand picked recount with no conditions? And why did he lose in court? There were conditions that needed to be met to go further than the state mandated machine recount if the total is closer than 1/2 fo 1%. Boise was arguing about machine malfunction or inconsistancy I believe. You are the 1st I have seen put up a law as justification. But there is more to it than the statute you listed (which I did read). Can't believe the law is that in a Presidential election the loser can pick 4 areas of the state that favor him heavily and add those results into the mix with no justification or proof that there was something wrong with the regualar election.
