There is plenty of controversy to go around. That makes the policy neither right nor wrong. The determinative factors have to do with fundamental beliefs about a variety of issues.

The setting of these policies is a matter for the president. If the American people don't like these policies they will surely elect someone else. Unfortunately, the Left just didn't have a candidate this year. As a result, Bush is going to be reelected by default, almost without competition -- people, other than Yellow Dogs, will be unable to bring themselves to vote for Kerry.
