I have a similar problem with AVG. It keeps finding a virus, and it informs me that I should run AVG for windows. But when I run AVG, it gives me a clean bill of health.

Fortunarely, in this instance, the virus is actually a test that I down-loaded from EICAR....not a real virus. But it is annoying me that AVG offers no fix after telling me to scan it. Maybe this virus only becomes apparent/visible when it "fires"?
