Agreed (I can't ever say this again without hearing and seeing Captain Barbossa's sneering, black and brown and toothless smile at Cap'n Jack Sparrow) re. I vs. II. I thought the first 80% or so was a tasteless, monotonous platform for shtick and "clever" pop culture cotton candy thrown up at the screen--little of it stuck for me and almost tanked the premise. The last 20 minutes, however, almost redeemed the movie.
