OT... Canucky stuff.. rose,
If only we could have some fiscal Conservatism espoused by the Conservatives and the eye to the public good preached by the NDP... that should be the Liberals... but it is not .. they have sold their souls and play upon the fears of Canadians.. The gun registry alone 2 billion ??? someone(s) should go to jail for that travesty ... it is obscene... They could have given me 30 million.. have a working system and I could retire in grand style to boot... 20 billion... they are not accountable... (And no I'm not talking about reducing gun control... that's the BS scare tactic used that so many fall for including the enlightened) .. It's a question of fiscal responsibility.. they throw money at health care and it goes down some black hole... we get no improved service... it's criminal... and yet ... this seems to placate my fellow Canadians... As long as more money is spent it surely must be improving... the stats don't agree... Hell I'd still be a bargain if I was 100% over budget on the gun registry...

Look at the trash that has become our television broadcasting industry... (NO not the CBC... I like the CBC, and NO I'm not talking about specialty channels where you know what you are tuning into)

NO I'm not a flaming right wing conservative (more a fiscal conservative with a strong sense of public good in some areas, and a libertarian bent) I want viable choices again instead of a country of stupid (and I don't use that word lightly) voters cowed by scare mongering...
Hence my answer to this post Message 20214135
is this .. Message 20214880

I'm also pro government sponsored health care and education... but WE NEED accountability... every party listens to the same groups with vested interests and apply bandaid solutions like putting out fires with dollars... up in smoke... Message 19963098

I had one on education somewhere but can't find it... but it's similar to health care views..

Perpetuating a Liberal dynasty won't give us any accountability... just more of the same... and if you have any illusions (JMHO) about Martin being not a Bay Streeter or sycophant to Washington well I think you are wrong...

In 30 years of voting I've never been so peed off... so it seems..
Maybe there is still hope... Québec can separate and I can move back there and live cheaply... and the Newfoundlanders can enjoy the shortened trip to Toronto... :o)

For God`s sake send a message... At least vote NDP...

regards
a politically frustrated hoser...

Oh and in the news today Martin is pork barreling with Ford ..

Not all folks voting against the Liberals are social conservatives and racists and right wing wackos... just a lot of regular Canadians that are tired of being $crewed and would like to see some accountability... the threat of losing political office albeit a very weak tool up here is the only one we've got... BTW all this is is making me think more and more FPTP has got to go and more representative proportional system would indeed be fairer...
