That means that there are either a lot of unemployed conservative women journalists, or that women journalists tend to be liberal. If one third of Americans are conservative, then how come they are not entering the field of journalism?

If these boards are any reflection of the writing capability of conservatives, then maybe the conservative mind is not capable of journalism? I often see posts here on SI from the conservative ilk that are one or two lines, and usually include some name calling, for example:

"What a moronic post...You should go and pound some sand."

I see a tendency for the liberal contributors in this forum to be more eloquent and crafty with their words. Taking care with paragraph and sentence structure. Making sure that spelling is correct. The conservative lot would rather reply with posts that can be likened to the above example, rather than attempt an honest reply. I'd say that only about 7 to 10% of the conservative posts here on this board are well thought out and presented in an intelligent manner. That seems to be in align with the reported percentage of conservative reporters.

It would seem that the conservative mind is somehow devoid of journalistic ability. What other reason could there be for the dearth of conservative journalistic talent?
