Brian, negative sentiment cannot be read in analysts reports. Analysts are worthless. The only time there are worth following is when the market does the exact opposite of what would be expected from a downgrade, or upgrade, since that can help define market tops and bottoms.

Negative sentiment can be read by looking at the volatility indices:

It can be read by looking at the Newsletter Writers Sentiment Report. Market bottoms happen when we actually see more bears than bulls:

I know there is very little negative sentiment. Why? Because I can measure it objectively!
