Well, I agree, if it's not a 'crime', it's still at least an immoral act.

Yes, it must end at some point (the outside world will not continue to finance our deficit spending forever --- at some point we must raise our national savings ourselves), but I think you've got the scheduling backwards... When it 'ends' (would could happen anytime there is a dearth of buyers at a Treasury auction), that is when we will be forced to actually start to 'pay our bills'.
