I think the distinction you are making here is arbitrary. It is more reasonable to look at it in a more integrated fashion than dividing social issues from fiscal ones. The fact is, social and fiscal issues are always merging. It is false to claim "I do not morally think abortion is right, but I am going to force America to contribute billions of dollars to organizations that do abortions." There is no real dividing line between the social and the fiscal, else there would be virtually no argument at all.
