Data Dimensions To Buy Info Svcs Firm For $19M Cash, Stock

BELLEVUE, Wash. (Dow Jones)--Data Dimensions Inc. (DDIM) signed a letter of intent to acquire Pyramid Information Services Inc., a privately-held computer systems manager, for $19 million in cash and stock.

In a press release Thursday, Data Dimensions said the acquisition would provide it with a "significant" Year 2000 testing capability, which would result in a new source of revenue and high-margin earnings for its millennium solutions business.

Data Dimensions said after the transaction closes it plans to allow its clients to access Pyramid's testing processes via Data Dimensions' Ardes 2k CD-ROM and Internet product.

The computer consulting company said it will also channel permanent outsourcing business to Pyramid beyond its Year 2000 work.

Data Dimension said it expects the transaction to close in 60 days.

Regards,

:)
