tonto, I've heard it repeated over & over again that the tax cuts actually stimulate more revenue than they eliminate. That should eventually help shrink the deficit. Last night Larry King replayed a Reagan interview from 2000. In it, Pres Reagan kept emphasizing the importance of the line item veto in eliminating pork. This yr John McCain's favorite outrage in the federal budget was a tropical rain forest for one of the western states.
