So if fiscal deficit spending, and expansion of government, and devaluation of the national currency have been ONGOING practices of government for a very long time, for many decades (as they have), then that becomes the NEW CONSERVATIVE PARADIGM... simply because to continue such imprudent practices is "keeping things the way they have been"?

What a remarkably hollow and meaningless conception of what 'conservative' means!
