"I am talking about private sector discrimination."

Well, I don't know what you mean. When the woman says "NO" and the man says "yes", they are both discriminating in the private sector. Do you mean that the man has as much right to assert his prejudicial discrimination as does the woman to assert her discrimination...based on rights and freedoms and socially approved values?

If the Government expresses the values of the people, and if the Government ought not to discriminate in certain ways which offend the values of the citizenry...then how do you jump from that to a permissiveness of private sector behaviour which violates the standards desired and enforced by the people?? How and why should the government be held to different standards of behavior than is the citizen?

I will have to hear your argument if I am to agree or disagree with you...

What sort of discrimination do you think private people should enjoy which government should not...and WHY? Please keep in mind that the government supposedly represents a consensus of the values of her constituents. The government is "WE, THE PEOPLE."
