John, that is a very interesting point. Corrections turn into crashes because value investors have bought into the growth thing and are not there to provide support.

I have been considering the same idea from a different angle, and it is scaring me as an institutional investor. My argument is this. Value investors are scared to death of not beating the indices, so they are not holding any cash. (Some are, but they are the minority with real guts). How can value investors provide any support in a correction if they are holding no cash?
