"Hypothetical" 90nm margins

The other possible reasons you offered are no less hypothetical. IMO, margins are the only reason I can reconcile as consistent with both known market environment (strong media-based and anecdotal evidence that AMD64 is being embraced) and seemingly credible company statements/reasoning.

While anything hypothetical is always subject to debate, as we are proving, I find that most often, the answer that fits with the theory of occam's razor turns out to be true.

As with my opinion, that is just the way I prefer to do things. If you would choose to focus on hypothetical reasons that do not seem to fit the occam's razor test as well and omit the one I suggested, then you are free to do so. Perhaps you hadn't considered the reason I offered, or perhaps you could offer some rationalization for rejecting its likelihood over your suggested options?

Thanks,
Mike
