"Intel's CPU production problems are resulting in a decrease in chipset demand."

The market still believes, it seems, that INTC is a barometer on the marketplace. Although that is probably true for all those "INTC sucklings" out there, it is not true for those participating in the growth of the new AMD ecosystem.

The market has yet to make such a distinction as evidenced by the ridiculously low valuation currently accorded AMD by the marketplace. I suspect that strong q2 earnings (i.e. $0.20 eps or better) will bring this distiction to the marketplace fore. (I'm still not convinced that we'll have to wait for q2 earnings for an AMD price explosion, though, as the accumulation of positive news events would seem to be fast approaching that explosive state! Not this week though with options expiration on Friday, there is likely to be a seemingly predictable (co-ordinated trading strategy anyone(?))$15 bias at play!)
