Re: Comments?

Buy AMD !!

(who am I to rock the boat?)

:-)

Seriously, the problem with the two stocks is that AMD has a small float, and gets jerked up and down by institutional buys made for extraneous reasons, and Intel has a gigantic float, and is often traded as a proxy for the whole sector, so that predicting short term movements in either stock can be very hard (it's often some portfolio managers non AMD/Intel specific goal that moves these stocks).

Long term, AMD looks like it will to VERY well, but short term?

And Intel has so much of the market capacity, that it will do pretty well (short term), and perhaps even very well, regardless of how much better AMD is doing.

If the overall market slows down, Intel will do badly, regardless of how AMD is doing.

So all that's left is "Buy AMD!" or stay away from these stocks because they're too volatile for many risk averse investors.
